After teaching a lesson on personality types and goals I began to think about whether most language teachers are type A or B. I am definately type B and think that living in Japan would drive me up the wall if I was type A.

When I was a grade school teacher back home almost all the other elementary school teachers were type A and loved to laminate and organize. Just wondering which category the folks on this forum fit.

Aloha and Mele Kelikimaka which is Merry Christmas in Hawaiian.

In terms of shyness/outgoingness (is that a word?!?!? If not, then I must cite a grad school professor of mine: "It fills a lexical gap."), I am type B--more introverted, although people sometimes do not believe that I am really quite shy.

Are type As super-organized planners? If so, then I've got a bit of A in me as well. I live in a world of clutter (no laminating or physical organizing for me!), but mentally I always manage to stay on top of things, sometimes to the point of neurosis...

I think that Eric was dead on. I scored 280 Shocked , Asia drove me up a freaking wall (although I do miss the food and shopping), and I am studying to be a teacher in the States.
I think that type A's, if they travel, like to go to more laid-back places, like Mexico or Hawaii. Balance is key. Type A around other Type A's=lots of exploding fireworks (and not necessarily the good kind.)
How did everyone else rate?
I'm willing to make an assumption that some of the more unhappy Japan poster's are indeed Type A's...

I got a 243--closer to A than I would have imagined! It must be all that studying ahead of time, showing up early, etc.

Scored a 140

I feel like I'm a little bit of both.

Does that make me an A/B?

Type A people are up tight and type B people are laid back!

I am a mix but probably more type A.

I'm definately a type B.

I think the Jungian personality indicators (ie I am an INFP) work better. Here's a page with a link:
