Ecuador--the sierra part--probably has more work than you'll find in Peru--primarily in Quito and Cuenca.
Avoid the coast and Guayaquil. Most conflictive folks on the planet--and that statement was made by an ex-president of Ecuador who lives in Guayaquil! |

Hey,
Depends on what you're looking for. I'm currently teaching in Quito and, while I love it, I'm contemplating a move to Peru. Before heading down here, I was torn between the two countries and basically just went with my gut feeling. Ecuador is definitely more expensive than Peru, but you can swing it in either place. If you have any specific questions about teaching in Quito, pm me and I'll try to help you out. Also, let me know what all you hear about possibilities in Peru, as I'm definitely curious.
