A word to the wise who have credit cards and want to go out on the 31st.
(Not thoses poor fools working for slave rates at E/Time Confused ) The turkish banks have decided that on the 31st credit cards will not be accepted from about 10:00 in the evening till about 2 or 3 in the morning, so clubs and bars and other places will either take your cards early or you will have to pay cash. The same goes for A.T.M's around town, the Y.T.L will not be load into most A.T.M unil some time the next day. So most machines will run out of cash before midnight or will be off line aftermidnight. Get ready by having cash in your hand by the late afternoon. Wink

Any way let me be the first to wish one and all the best for 2005.

Calsimsek, I was just wonderıng where you got your information. One of my students is part of the board employed by the Ministry of Finance to implement the change. He said both cards would only be a problem between midnight and 1 am. Is this Turkish optisim I wonder.

Remember the Y2k bug when nothing really happened? This could be the Turkish equivalent where the experts say nothing much will happen and.....
Happy New Year to you, too( And of course the same to all you guys)
