This forum has become too cerebral for me. I long for the more helpful stuff people used to post.

Ayme an American citizin, how much tax does eye gotta pay! Do escaped cons get a discount!
I, too, am American. Does anyone know where I can find China on the map?
Which city is better, Beijing or Shanghai?
I’ve accepted a DOS position at EF because with my superior qualifications I feel it shall afford me every opportunity to display my amazing talents in a challenging atmosphere.
Can I pay off my college loans in one year by working in China?
I had a great experience in Harbin. I absolutely would recommend my school to any first-time teacher as a place to get your feet wet. (After the ice melts in July, that is.)
What’s the highest paying school in Shanghai? I expect everyone who knows to give me this information.
Stay away from XYZ English School. They might expect you to work there.
Will my CD’s play in a Chinese CD player?
I posted ten times already and still can’t find China. Somebody please tell me where it is on the map. |

I remember one I posted at about this time last year....How expensive are dental services? Now I know....1000 RMB for the works. Had 'em pulled and replaced with brand new custom chompers. I know they're new 'cause I watched 'em make 'em. Of course I don't wear them because of the SARS thing. I'm worryin' 'bout that surface contact bidnez.... |

Out of curiousity, did they use anesthesia? A local friend told me she had a tooth pulled and they just grabbed a pair of pliers and yanked the thing out in about five seconds.
Then they offered to give her a brand new titanium tooth for about 10,000 RMB. |

Oh,they gave me plenty of novocaine. They gave me so much I couldn't feel my chin. Actually that was probably the most painful part because the guy bent a couple of needles in the process and even broke one off in the gum. But hey...it was already fair numb on the surface. All in all? Not a whole lot worse experience painwise than anywhere else I've been. Fear factor? Slightly higher because I'm not fluent in Chinese so I wasn't real sure about what was happening half the time. For instance, why are you hitting that metal punch into my gums with that hammer? Why are you pounding on those pliers that are gripping my tooth? All in all, a real life adventure,at a fraction of the cost in the U.S.A. In the U.S. it cost about $75-$100 per extraction for we unfortunates that work but work for a small business that doesn't pay health insurance. |

Getting on a train you worried about the bathroom.
Getting on anything you worried about the water.
People wearing masks was a bad sign.
