Last night on China's official CCTV, a documentary on Jade Carvings mentioned that researcher find it difficult to explain how the low-tech Ancients could have possibly produced such sophisticated jade designs, given the diamond-hard nature of jade. The TV show suggested a theory...Hi-tech Aliens.

Now USA's NASA is responding to an "anomaly":

LONDON (Reuters) - An unexplained phenomenon akin to a space-borne car wash has boosted the performance of one of the two U.S. rovers
probing the surface of Mars, New Scientist magazine says.

It said something -- or someone -- had regularly cleaned layers of dust from the solar panels of the Mars Opportunity vehicle while it
was closed down during the Martian night.

The cleaning had boosted the panels' power output close to their maximum 900 watt-hours per day after at one stage dropping to 500
watt-hours because of the heavy Martian dirt.

By contrast, the power output of the solar panels of Mars Spirit -- on a
different part of the Red Planet -- had dropped to just 400 watt-hours a day clogged by the heavy dust.

"These exciting and unexplained cleaning events have kept Opportunity in
really great shape," the magazine quoted NASA rover team leader Jim Erickson as saying.

In Indonesia my students claim that UFOs are never sighted in that country. Military sources there have claimed to have shot at various unidentified craft however. The media and people of Indonesia are fairly obsessed with ghosts so perhaps they just grab the limelight from the UFOs. Or perhaps when an Indonesian sees a UFO, they "see" a ghost.
In Scotland, where I am back home for Christmas, UFOs are often sighted and reported.
Talking of alien technology, it has been said that the laser, transistor and micro chip were "gifts" from aliens.
NASA has filmed hundreds of strange objects over the years, often explaining them away as "ice crystals". NASAs official stanpoint has tended towards the sceptical to say the least. I remain open minded.

The subject of "public acclimatization" is not a new one. US government agents went on TV shows in the '80s with wild sounding stories about captured aliens who enjoyed eating strawberry ice-cream. Cosmic Journey was another possible example of releasing info about aliens and UFOs to the public. It was to be an exhibition about space and was allegedly to have included examples of captured alien technology. It fell through.
