...a quandary.
Yes, I am posting this because I was PMed by someone who was curious about Sea RIch COllege in Dalian.
They offer good contracts and are being sponsored by the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
However, they ran into trouble recently, serious trouble. The SCMP of 1st of January reports under the headline
"DIPLOMA ROW BARS 118 STUDENTS FROM CLASS"
that the president of the Northeast Normal University, Wu Lizhong, cancelled the coopeation agreement with Sea RIch College unilaterally. Sea RIch COllege was paid 300'000 by Mr Wu to run a 3-year programme, one year of which foresaw that students would be transferred to Britain to enjoy immersion in an English country and on British universities campuses. Sea RIch COllege claims the contract with Mr Wu was "illegal", and classes have since November been in limbo.
It appears Mr Wu signed the contract with Sea RIch College in spite of the fact that he was going to be terminated.
"He signed the contract with us two days before, when he already knew his appointment (as President of NE N Uni) was going to be cancelled and he didn't inform us. It was noted in the contract that he was the official provider of the programme," said Sea Rich College's headmaster, Craig Evans.
Students paid yuan 33'000 for 2 years' of tuition. |

Any money end up in Mr. Wu's pocket? Perhaps he was just assuring himself a "soft landing." |
