Shouldn't this be on the English Time thread?
As for my honest answer... errrr, thus far no plans yet, at least not concretely. My friends have been telling me, however, that I should be out there scouting out places and tickets but erg, that seems like an awful lot of work. Any suggestions, esp for someone who works awkwardly split shifts at the moment and can't go out to check out locales? |

It would be interesting for Yaramaz to inform us about how she enjoys her new job in Istanbul compared with the old one in Kayseri.
One imagines that she saved quite a bit more money in Kayseri (lower expenses, living on site, almost free food in the school ``Kaf``). Is she actually able to save any money in Istanbul, knowing the temptations of the big city, and her party nature?
Pros. and cons. of both would be interesting to read about, and an overall result as to which locale is best to work in, for her. |

I thought we were all supposed to stay "on topic". And I thought this thread was about New Year's Eve. |

Again with that party girl thing. Where on earth did you get this idea? I am a complete homebody nerd who lives on tea and second hand books.
And yes, I am saving money. It really isn't as expensive as I had feared and its a helluva lot saner than living in Kayseri, regardless of saving capabilities. Money isn't everything. Balance is. Istanbul is good.
As for new years plans... hmmmm.... do we need to buy tickets for everything or are there any places where you can show up at the door? I work nights these days so it is hard to pop over to the Other Side.
PS split shifts or not, at least I'm not employed as crowd control for sugar mad kidlets anymore! |

Dunno, I'm going down Nardis in Tunel, I think there's still a few places standing. |

Were you being sarcastic about the teachers' pub? Only, I'm a bit slow. |

Sorry, it's just a dirty dingy pub, that no teachers (except me when I'm very pissed off) ever go to. |
