This one is for the Canucks out there.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this has been obvious for over 5 years now. First Chretien, then Martin hemmed and hawed, telling us that we wouldn't buy into it, that it would start an arms race, that the the goverment would follow the will of the people. Hypocrisy.
It takes the US Ambassador/Viceroy to Canada to iterate Canadian government decisions to the Canadian people? No comment from Martin?
The taxes I pay back home might be meager, but you can be sure of this. They will be paid no longer if this what my gov is going to be spending it on. |

I saw an interview with Martin during the holidays and he claimed rather adamantly that Canada wouldn't be involved with the missile shield. I wonder if Celucci has his facts straight. |

Celucci has been known to be a little more than forward with his opinions in the press. If US Ambassador Tony Garza were so forward in the Mexican press with 'advice' to the government here, people would be at the embassy with torches and pitchforks.
Lapdog Martin is likely to roll over on command on this one.
The funny thing is, if this is true, as I suspect it is, then Celucci would be the most honest person in Ottawa's power circles. |
