Greetings
I am wondering about traveling during the July-August siesta. I would like to visit pals in Korea and Philippines. OK I know it will be fine leaving - just get on a plane or a boat no problem. I am a bit worried about entering other countries. Will coming from China cause issues about getting the standard 1 month 3 month tourist visa??? Will they be more stringent on where you are staying??? Or will it just be a matter of going through a heat detector and then business as usual???
Maybe I worry too much but has anybody actually traveled in the last little bit??? Thanks in advance!!! |

Lotsa countries got restrictions AND some got quarantine periods. You'd better check each countries policy before going. Don't rely on hearsay or fiiends; ask each consulate. Also, the situation is changing day to day and the countries are channging their travel policies accordingly.
..
I'll go to Canada for a while from HK in July. I'd trust HK more than flying form the mainland. |

If I remember correctly, the Philippines has declared China an unsafe country, with new arrivals bweing quarantined.
Some Arab countries - Bahrain, QUatar, Koweit, etc., do not allow passengers originating in China to disembark. |

"Travelers to this area should be aware of possible restrictions upon arrival to Taiwan. At the time of this notice, the Taiwan government has imposed a mandatory 10-day quarantine requirement on all travelers arriving by air from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, and Toronto. In addition, the Taiwan government has suspended issuance of resident and visitor visas to people from these areas for 14 days. This restriction may be subject to change; please check the Taiwan government website for updates."
