Happy new year everyone! I am currently in Bolivia teaching English but will be making my way overland to Mexico in the summer. Was wondering when the new semesters start? When is a good time to get there, August? Anyway, thanks for any replies. |

The schools where I am start in August. It is best to arrive before then to be in contention for the available jobs. |

At the university where I teach, we start back to work the last week of August after having the first three weeks of August off for summer break. EFL classes usually begin during the first week of September. EFL classes for spring semester start on March 1st this year, although they usually begin mid-February. We have semester contracts, but since our new semester contracts begin the day after the old ones terminate, we're under contract all year. |
