I know I am! Bayram then snow break... perfect.

Hey, anyone have any suggestions on the relative virtues of anakkale and Antalya for a Bayram trip?

And is the idea of just taking an overnight bag to the airport and looking for cheap standby flights entirely insane? (That is, will there be any empty seats on flights within Turkey whatsoever, and even if I do get one, will I be stranded at the end of the Bayram with no flight back?)

hay Bron, İf you your not worried about rian and perhapes snow, then go for anakkale. Theres alot to see, Anzac cove and whole Anzac park, then Troy (not bad) and Assos is only a two hour drive.
Antalya- Sun and beach.
Good luck I'm off to rup. Razz Razz

Of, travel companion is insisting on Antalya by plane... $$$... Still, I can afford it, and I do want to go sometime, and my savings are for travel, and etc. I guess I'll hold off on anakkale until an Aussie pal of mine gets home from her extended Christmas vacation in the Oz sun. Enjoy rup. I must now dive for a guidebook to find out what's there.
