|

I would like to start teaching in Poland next semester.... At the end of this semester (i.e. June/July 2006) I will have been teaching in China for 2 and a half years and have reached saturation point.
I am a New Zealander with a university degree and a TESOL certificate and will be able to get good references from my employers here. After a bit of research on the country, I think I would like to work in the southwest (Wroclaw? Opole?) but really don't know where to start. I've read many of the postings and know to avoid Millennium Services/M&M but that's the only recruitment company I know about. If anyone has any suggestions or contacts that could help me, I'd be most appreciative!
Cheers

Thanks for the link. Perhaps I was being to optimistic? I read that posting a few days ago but was hoping that I would find employment before I arrived in Poland. Am I being naive? |

Saxoncourt sometimes recruit from abroad, as do International House. It isn't so easy for non-EU nationals though
People sometimes turn up around the time schools are hiring - it usually works. Wrocław may be a problem though, because it's a popular city. There are usually a few adverts though on TEFL.com and the other sites.
Good luck |

Find a list of schools [via google perhaps] in Wroclaw, and email them your updated CV with a cover letter and go from there.
The trouble is, the Polish school year usually doesn't begin again til September or even October, so you will have to hang around if you're planning on coming here in June/July - that's Summer break. |
