My favorite example is from the real-time TV transcription sub-titling of a Press Conference by Ronald Reagan...
The phrase-as-transcribed by the TV network specialist typing closed caption-for-the-deaf...was..."...socialish shoes..."
AND...the real words really said by US President Reagan...were: ? |

My favourite one is often talked about in finance programmes. Quite what the Lundham Bomb Market has to do with finance I don't know. |

There was a good on on the BBC last year just reporting on Yasser Arafat's death.
The live subtitling announced that the UN had held 'a minute's violence' to commemorate his passing.
Made me laugh. |
