I would like to know if this TESL certificate is adequate for finding employment. I have noticed that other certificate programs (TEFL, CELTA) require more teaching hours. This one only requires 10, at a minimum.

Well, BC TEAL is no longer involved with certification of either training institutions or individuals wanting to teach ESL. Instead they are deferring to TESL Canada.
Your certificate information says satisfies TESL Canada certification requirements, so if by "adequate for finding employment" you mean in your home province of BC, then the answer seems to be "Yes.
If you mean outside of BC, then you need to give more details- like what kind of employment, in which countries or other Canadian provinces/territories? |
