Hey there,

I will be completing my BA in a few months but will be leaving for China before I get my diploma. I wanted to know what exactly is required as proof for a degree?

Can I just print something off the internet showing I have met the requirements? Or should I get my family to fax it over to me once it arrives? Or should I go through the hassle of trying to get something official looking with a stamp or a seal from my University? How strict are they?

I searched this topic first, it didn't sound like it was too strict but the posts were kind of old and I would just like to make sure.

Thanks for any help,
Adam

Several ways, 1) Obtain official, or unofficial transcripts from your University. 2) A letter from the registrars office, degree audit, or Bursars office on University Letterhead, illustrating you have completed your requirements, and if you do not plan to bring a diploma with you to China, depending on where you will be teaching, you want to make sure to bring at least one letter of reference, SAFEA prefers to receive a letter of reference from professors whenever possible. Some people will argue you dont need anything, but it really varies from place to place the requirements and its better to have the appropriate documents than not to have them..

Keith

I scanned my degree and TESL Certificate and emailed them in jpeg format. They accepted them.
