Hi, I'm posting this under a new topic to hopefully get some responses from people who have worked/are working for one of the larger chain schools- Hess, Kojen, etc. I'm trying to decide whether to take a job with them before I get to Taiwan. It would take away some of the headache of finding a job and getting the proper visas, work permits, etc. What would you say, current and former employees? I'm wondering if I can just show up and visit/interview at a few different Hess/Kojen schools and get a job that way. (??) Is it easy to start working for them anytime or do they have intakes at certain times of the year?
And of course I want to know- what has your experience been like? Are you enjoying it or wish you had gone a different route? What's the curriculum like? I like the idea of ongoing training and help in lesson planning.
Alright, hope to hear from some people who are actually working for them or have in the past. Shalom. |

This question has been asked several times on this forum. I suggest you run a search.
Or just run your eye down the list of topics in this page, until you find this thread, which asks exactly the same question as you have just asked, and contains 2 pages of replies and discussion. |

You may also want to check out buxiban.com and search specific locations to see if complaints have been made about them. Read critically. Also check forumosa.com. I sometimes feel this site isn't the best source. While I support the majority of posters here, I wouldn't touch a few people's advice with a twelve meter pole. |
