| When I was teaching in Slovakia, there were a lot of pop songs in the discos that Americans here didn't catch. That was in 2001. Kailey minot(don't know how to spell her name) was having a rebound at that time, and I remember a song called "Sexy". What's going on now? |

Yes, Kylie Minogue's songs can be used in the classroom. They are great to teach listening comprehension. 
I do hope your intention is to talk about how to use pop songs in EFL teaching. Or maybe I'm wrong?  |

Kylie, clearly feeling she's endebted (is this a real word? i can't find it in the dictionary) to the kind people of the UK for granting her post-neighbours fame and fortune, has repayed us in kind by nymphing around, almost to the point of saturation.
She has also managed to incorporate the British /a:/ as and when the appropriate words come out of her mouth. |

| "endebted"? Do you mean indebted, maybe? I suppose spelling doesn't matter. If you don't know how to spell a word, just make it up. |

Yes, thank you so much! I couldn't find it in my backpacker's dictionary. And yes, if i don't know how to spell a word, i just make it up. The students don't seem to mind but then i don't really care about them. I'm just on a sightseeing/sex holiday! |

Yes, i make two mistakes and you brand me a backpacker who knows nothing about grammar in the most patronising way. I try not to make mistakes but i don't mind if i do. I don't mind being corrected. I like learning from people. I enjoy being a student of this language as well as a teacher. I would not teach endebted if i weren't sure of the spelling, i would check.
