|

Hi - - this message is mainly for teachers in or very near Hangzhou. The Literacy Council of Topeka (Kansas) has for the last two years sent me a slew of children's books - - many with very, very easy English. Hard-backed, high-quality story and educational books that would cost an arm and a leg if you were to buy on your own. What I'd like to do is donate these books to two or three truly needy PUBLIC schools that have students that would (hopefully) appreciate them.
I thought about my private school here but these fat-cat administrators and the spoiled, rich kids just don't seem worthy of such nice books. I have around 50 books so I could easily divide them amongst two or three schools.
I am also going to contact In Touch magazine here in Hangzhou and maybe run an ad or small article about them. Maybe even do some sort of (written) English competition or something if I get a slew of requests.
Anyway, leave a message here or PM me if you are interested (and nearby) and we can figure something out - - probably after the Spring Festival holiday. |

The youth hostels usually have libraries for travellers to read books, this could be an idea to dispose of your books if you cannot find any place. Teachers stay at Youth Hostels and maybe useful to the foreign teachers to read. |
