Hi,
In the USA in K-12 schools, most schools require their teachers to be certified or work towards certification after they are hired. Is this required in Singapore schools or international schools in Singapore? |

I'm afraid they do. It seems as though international schhols are pretty tough on their expectations - but on the bright side, once you have qualifications, they tend to pay reasonably well... I'm working towards some teaching qualifications now, and the possibility for work seems to be opening up.
Also, it seems working in ESL gives a big advantage to your application since a lot of the international schools have kids from lots of different places.
