So this is my quandry. I have been teaching English for 6 months in Korea, but due to personal reasons I will be quiting to move to Hong Kong. Needless to say my school will not be pleased, nor will they provide me with a letter of recommendation. I have been applying for jobs in Hong Kong, and I have been in contact with several interested organisations. However one business school told me that without a letter from my school to prove that I worked there, immigration will never grant me a work visa. If this is the case, should I just leave this job off of my resume? It will put me at a bit of a disadvantage I suppose, since it is my only English Teaching experience, but at least then I will not require a letter from my school. But since I have my Korean work visa still glued into my passport, will immigaration, still question me on this school? Is that the kind of thing they notice? I'd really appreciate any help anyone could give me...in case you can't tell the world of English Teaching is all very new to me.
