Hi, having looked at various sites we now feel confident to ask a few questions without being castigated. My girlfriend and I are coming to Korea in 2 months and have done our research. We have a few basic questions and would like someone preferably without 3 Masters Degrees, and has a strong handle on sarcasm to answer them.
My girlfriend has 2 Degrees (Ak Uni) I have one from the University of Koh San Rd (Yes it is Fake), I have teaching experience she has none, can a working Visa be obtained with a fake degree, and if not can anything be done by a sympathetic employer to make you legal ? We know about Illegal options, working and doing Visa runs every 3 months and the risks, and is Pusan a safer option further away from the clutches of Immigration and a 5 Million Won Fine...? Inchon seems a great option as we do like to Party but as most people have financial commitments (mortgage) back in Nz and don't want to live in The Big City, any other clever options for areas to live ?
Any Tips or Hints would be appreciated.....as long as you're not mean.
Ta and Oh yea is Super 12 and the Ab's Tests on satellite Tv in Korea ???? |

Sorry, but you will be out of luck finding work with a fake degree. For Korea, for example, you go to the consulate with your original degree in hand and they authenticate it that it is legitimate. If they have never heard of the university, they will look it up. They are not stupid. Lying to them would not be a good idea as you can get into legal problems and depending where you are, may land you in jail. Is all this worth it to teach English? To get a work visa, you must be sponsored before you come into the country (Korea) or you can enter on a tourist visa, find a job and then apply for a work visa. You may then have to do a visa run and leave Korea, not sure exactly as it has been awhile since i taught in Korea. |
