I would like very much to work in the Caribbean area as an ESL teacher, especially on the French Isles, but I am in need of some sound advice, leads, and direction in this pursuit.
I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you, John

Wonder if that will be understood?
Let me expand what I think MingHang meant to say. There's not much chance of employment out there on the isles. Why not try posting this in the General Latin America thread. There's a poster there with some experiemce in the Carribean who might help you out.
Be patient though. |

That was REALLY inappropriate! My cousin is teaching in Aruba - she teaches both English and Chemistry in a local high school. I don't know anything about Aruba in general, but that she is a certified teacher in Canada. The jobs are there - and very decent - but I believe you must be well qualified. Her husband teaches scuba diving on the side. |

True, but if you're going to be vulgar, there really is no better language. |

I made contact with a language school in Martinique and an interview is in the works. Also, a language school in Guadeloupe has made contact. The secret is contacting the chambers of commerce of each island for the appropriate leads.
In bocca al lupo, John |
