I saw this post from last year:

but no one posted who really had experience with ACC. So is there anyone out there now who can comment on working conditions there?
(Do they have air conditioning? [see old post of mine]) |

Its better to not ask that but to ask whether they use the airconditioning to suit your needs. I've worked in places here that have airconditioning.... that they don't turn on until the month of August... no matter if the temperatures were in the 90's as early as late June.
Also you can have cases where you may have control of the airconditioning in your classroom, until the first student complains that 77 degrees is too cold (They use celcius here but Im simplifying for your sake) and your boss scolds you and sets the temperature to 85 and tells you not to touch it.
Or worse you have control, you can set it as you like, but because it hasn't been cleaned in years, it stinks of sweaty rotten socks so bad that it makes natto smell like roses to your nostrils. |

A Canadian TV network (the Life Network) used ACC to film the show "English Teachers" a couple of years back. This season they are filming in Taiwan. For those of you who haven't seen it, it is a reality show that follows a couple of people around while they work as EFL teachers. Frankly, some of the people they picked are a bit strange, but then again what would TV be without strange people?
The link below is for the current season in Taiwan:

This link is the one where I saw ACC mentioned:

Maybe if you contact someone at the network or something you may be able to find the old Japan episodes. |
