I'm might return to Canada from Japan next year and saw that LSC has a school in Calgary. I'm thinking about applying, but want to know what the pay is like beforehand.
Any advice?? |

I believe it is somewhere between $15 and $20 per hour CDN. |

Thanks! Do you know if they hire any full-time teachers and if so, can I survive on that salary? |

Not sure about the hours, but I believe it is part-time or perhaps just 5 hours per day. Like most of the ESL jobs in Canada, unless you work for a schoolboard, part-time is about all you can get. And, NO, you can not survive on such a low salary without more hours. Welcome to the wonderful world of Canadian TESL? |

I'm comming back to Canada after almost 6 years in Japan. I'll concure with the other posters, ESL in Canada is abysmal to say the least.
I'm going to teacher's college in September. You might consider doing the same or finding other work.
Good luck! |
