I've checked out most of the suggestions posted here for locating Aikido dojos in Japan, but haven't had much luck with them. I wanted to find out how far I might have to commute in order to keep up with my training. For those of you with the same idea...
I found this website, which is mostly in Japanese with a brief English index page:

If you click on the "Dojo" link at the bottom, it brings you to a page with a listing of 820 dojos around Japan. I think they're all Aikikai, but I'm not positive. This page is in Japanese, but you can get a rough translation using Alta Vista Babelfish to obtain addresses and phone numbers.
