Hi All-
I've been a lurker for a short while and have a question: Can you work in Spain (specifically Madrid) with a student visa?
I heard that I could work up to 30 hours/week, according to a women in a university study abroad office. I also heard this from some random lady in the subway. Basically, I will need to work when I get there so I can avoid leaching off my mom/pay rent.
Here's my background, if it'll help:
This will be my 4th time in Spain, 2nd in Madrid. Just got back from a study abroad in Madrid on Dec. 22, 04. I've already got the visa as I directly enrolled in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. My housing and flight are also taken care of. I arrive this Sunday, the 13th (woohoo!).
Technically, I graduate in May 2005 although I'm already done with my classes. I don't have certification to teach English but I do have teaching experience and a very good academic record. I've already done a C.V. and a cover letter. Any suggestions on working in Madrid whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. |
