Hi,
My boyfriend and I are interested in teaching at Dalian Maple Leaf School. Does anyone have any insight into the working conditions at the school, or anything else we should know before accepting a position there?
Thanks,
Sarah |

I began teaching at DMLIS this year and I have to say that so far it's been a really good experience. However, it's very hard for me to go into detail without going into a lot of detail because I don't know what you teach or what your interests are.
I would say, in general, the kids are excellent. They have a lot of respect for the teachers and are very enthusiastic. The only real drawback that I've found so far with the students is that their level of English is not great.
I would also add that the staff at the school is really friendly and very supportive of new teachers.
That's about it. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. |

It's an international school. I'm there to teach PE based on the British Columbia curriculum. I brought it up because a lot of people coming to the school think that the students will have an enlish level that allows them to be successful on the BC provincial exams, which isn't the case. |
