Starting with the folks where I work, Im trying to put together some kind of (support? Laughing ) group for foreigners living in Toluca. There aren't that many here; in fact, it can seem like youre the only one! Ive heard rumors of others (like when students ask me "Do you know so-and-so?), but no easy way to find others adapting to life in this town and to Mexico in general. There are groups in Mexico City, and while not a huge distance away, most of their activities are during the week.

If you know of any foreigners (not just Americans/Canadians - anyone) living in the Toluca area who might be interested in meeting once a month (first potluck lunch 2/26), please give them my email addy - [email protected]

Any other suggestions for finding folks?

Any suggestions for the name of this group? Im thinking of putting flyers up in Wal-Mart/Carrefour and the like.

Have you tried Mexico Online? They have a forum where I've seen a few people post from the Toluca area.

Otherwise, I'd be happy to add myself to the list on the infrequent occasions where I travel to Toluca for work.

Glad you added this caveat...my wife reads what I post here sometimes.

I need something extra special for Feb 14 to get out of some trouble I'm in. Ideas from the ladies?

Diamonds or if that isnt in the budget... a 2-hour massage, no expectation of sex. Would work if I were your wife!
