I was under the impresion that there were thousands of native speaker teachers in Greece. Why so few posts ? Is everyone there blissfully happy with their lot ?

Well "Hellas" is the word in Greek. No, I am not a Norwegian.

I still find it odd that there are so few posts here about this country where there are still a large number of English teachers from all over. Mabe they are too poor to use the Internet ?

Probably because Greece is the Club Med 18-30 school of EFL. At least it was when I was there a few years back. Most teachers are very young, often in their first job, sometimes with no qualifications and are spending a year or two having a good time before getting a different job back home or getting a few qualifications in EFL and moving on to something which pays a little better. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with all this. I spent two fun years in Greece before deciding to get a little serious and qualified. Also, the Greek frontisterio is the hardest battleground in EFL. A good place for young teachers to cut their teeth. But when you wise up you realise that generally they are pretty appalling places to work.
