| most people ive talked to flew over to Japan and then searched for a job, though a sizable number landed the job overseas and then went over to Japan. please vote |

| Saw a job ad and had a 'live' interview while in my home country. Got visa sponsorship and came 2 months later. Not with the big 4. |

| Same situation as Gordon. This poll was not very well designed, so I can't respond to it except in this text message. |

| I came to Japan and looked for a job when I got here. It took me about a week to find and job which would sponsor me. It was in 1991 during the bubble so jobs were easy to come by. |

I just want to say, I am so glad to get out of Korea! Koreans are the most prejudice people I have ever meant! I am sure somewhere in all of Korea there is a Korean who is not a cry baby blaming everyone else for Korea's faults!
Japanese are so much better people than Koreans! Japanese children are polite and kind! Korean children are spoiled little brats who are also cry babies always thinking of themselves as the victim. |

not sure if you're trolling or not big john. i lived and worked in korea for 2.5 years and yes times were indeed tough and people indeed tough to deal with. nonetheless i met my fiance there so all is not bad.
i'll be going to japan in march to start work at uni. saw the ad at my current job at uni in brisbane posted on the tesol bulletin board. they flew out for the interview, hired me, and will fly me over in march. |

Maybe the poll should say "first job" in Japan.
