Check out www.kmer440.com to get an idea of the expat/teaching scene. Be warned though--- some of the postings are completely messed up. Why they let guys like that teach is beyond me...

Actually, very few of the posters on k440 are teachers. Cambodia is a popular place to go 'off the rails', and by all accounts it's such an extreme place that most people go a little crazy after a while anyway. Also, one should understand that the k440 regulars are mostly Brits, and a lot of Yanks seem utterly oblivious to the British sense of humour.

Rather than point the finger from inside a PC middle-class bubble, perhaps it would be more appropriate to live there for a while before casting aspersions.
