Thinking about TESL in Colombia? The government has recently changed the law and requires that you have an actual teaching degree before issuing you a work permit. A BA with CELTA, TESL or TEFL will no longer do the trick. I had confirmed this fact with the Colombian Consul in Toronto, Canada this morning. |

Not sure about Colombia, but I find that what you hear from consulates and embassies back home isn't always the same as what's true on the ground in a foreign land.
Mexico is certainly an example of this. It would be nice to hear from someone in Colombia who knows... |

Yeah, where is everybody in Colombia? Nobody replied to my post about semesters ( )... But seriously, it would be really good to get some information about teaching there... |
