I've read many posts about online TEFL courses ect. Basically I would only recommend doing a online TEFL course for a introduction/side qualification. Everyone should take a 4 week TEFL/TESOL course accredited by UK university/COT (college of teachers, trinity/celta), for Europe anyway.
I would only do a online TEFL cert for 60 hours with I TO I for their paid placement scheme. I TO I was held at a CACTUS TEFL open evening in London, where Giles offered CELTA courses and what have you.
I TO I should only be used for palces like South Korea ect for that 1st job, specially since South Korea is thousands of miles away.
Online courses are fine, as long as you have a 4 week cert to back it up.
My opinion on this matter. |
