When should i arrive in Thailand if i want to find an english teaching job?

Anytime really...since finding something is a given anytime if your hirable. Whether it's good or bad is a luck of the draw and just being at the right place at the right time so to speak. There's always openings and people coming and going. Personally, I would base when I come on how soon I could get a plane ticket.

That said, the general reply you would get to this question is sometime before the new school year starts in May. That really wouldn't apply to private language schools though such as English First, ECC etc

Any month other than April. And in April you can easily pick up one-month summer camp type jobs if you're really desperate for work -- or if you want to say "yes, I have some real experience" when your interview for your next full job comes up.

If you have 2000 USD in your pocket when you get here, and if you've enough character to lay off the whores, you can stay and pick and peck at jobs for months on that much money.
