Hi, I'm in Bao'an, in Shenzhen, at Tsinghua Experimental University School. I will need to leave this Sunday, and I would like a new legal position in Shenzhen. If anyone can help me out here, please send a message ASAP. |

Why do you have to leave. Bao An is the pits, isn't it? |

Why leave? Nothing against the school, and the location is kept up nicely: I'm just far from the action, and it's hard to load up on additional school jobs here. Just a personal preference.
BTW: I have found a contact with a new position and location, so my heart is calming down now. Thanks guys! |

You didn't advise whether your contract / Foreign Residents Permit with your present school has expired.
If want to leave before your contract concludes;
1
Travel to Hong Kong (or any other nearby 'external' location; Bangkok is another option), handing in your F.R.P. at Chinese Immigration upon departing. Apply for an 'L' or 'F' visa at the destination and start applying for new positions in China via the internet.
2
Remain at your present school for now. Start applying for alternative positions being sure to inform prospective employers that your F.R.P. with your present school has not yet expired. Some (but I think very few) schools will accept you with an F.R.P. tied to another school.
If your contract / F.R.P. has (is about to) expire, go to an 'immigration police' office and have your visa status extended for 1 month, which I believe is given only as tourist, 'L', status. Find a place to stay and start applying for new positions in China via the internet. |
