The trains are really good. Always on time.
The girlies with mini-skirts, knee high boots, and fish net stockings are pretty good too. |

I have extremely easy access to my bank, convenience stores, a 24 hour supermarket, 100 yen shop, restaurants, the ward office, a small hospital, and many other shops. The bus stop is at the end of the block. In front of the apartment is a major street, so it gets plowed rapidly in winter. My building is brand new, and the owner/manager works next door. My wife's family lives only 15 minutes walk away (5 minutes by car). |

I live in a large co-op.
It has good access to shinjuku, 20 min, and Tokyo.
16 min train ride to one of my schools.
A planned community with green spaces.
Cheap super, vegetable stand, liquor shop and post office 1 min walk from my door.
8 min walk to station.
45 min train ride to Takao san and somehting of a natural area.
If forced to live near Tokyo this is a good location! |

Everything except what I deleted sounds like my situation. I managed to find a decent place to live in Osaka, so much better than the place I was living in before (Kadomaminami - it had some good sports facilities but that was it). |

I live in Fukuoka, and I love it. There is a great public library, plenty of fabulous restaurants and cultural activities going on, decent transportation service so that it is more convenient to take the subway than to drive. There is an international airport, major shinkansen station, and international ferry port so that going on vacation from here does not require too much effort. There are nice beaches and a few really nice parks for picnics. |

One stop from the Shinkansen
Nice modern apartment with my own stairs
Quiet neighborhood
10 min. walk to the station
Near Tokyo and the mountians
Nearest station is the terminal for about half the the trains. Which means they also start from there. Nice in the morning when you can sit down before all the crowds come and pack in like cattle. |

I think he lives in Osaka, but we've got plenty of those girlies here in the Tokyo area
Yeah the mini skirt/boot combination is tantalizing...do you mean you don't have that where you live? I thought it was typical winter wear for many Japanese women? |
