Someone recently posted a message that said JET now hires from within Japan. Or something to that effect. Here is a message copied from an email sent to me directly from a JET official when I asked about this last week. And, yes, the misspellings and run-on words are not fixed by me.
Thank you for your iterest in the JET Programme. It is possible to sendyour complete application from Japan, however it will need to be sent to the Embassy of Japan in your home country. If you are selected for an interview, you will need to return home for it, as there are no interviews conducted in Japan.

So, my next question would be:
What agency is posing as JET to hire naive young teachers?
Be on the look out folks. Do your research. It doesn't take very much effort to check things out via e-mail and the internet. |
