I wanted to know if it is mandatory for women to wear hosery at all times in the office. Also, must the toes always be covered. I really hate wearing nylons in summer and I wanted to know if I'd get in trouble for electing to skip them at the MM center.

You have to wear enclosed shoes and hose if you want to wear a dress during summer - Nova is pretty strict about this (on the instructors only it seems, I have seen some pretty far out shoes worn by the LS staff). The best way around this would be to wear some casual cotton pants. The dress code is pretty lax for women though - you can basically wear anything you want provided it looks neat and clean. Guys have to wear ties at all times, it really sucks during summer.

You have to wear enclosed shoes all the time, sorry. However, you are allowed to wear slippers at work, it doesn't matter if they are open toe or not. It's a bit of a double standard but that's the way it is.

One way to get around the full leg hose thing is to wear knee-hi's or trouser socks with skirts that reach pretty much to your knees. I see girls doing it all the time and no one ever says anything about it. Don't think this would fly if you had on a mid-thigh length sort of skirt though!

In the warmer months is really is preferable to wear loose fitting pants, as you can get away with no sort of sock/stocking with those because those in charge will never see much more than your ankle. It is also much cooler even though your whole leg is covered, as opposed to skirts which don't cover so much but you have to have on some sort of hot, stick stocking. I have seen capri pants worn as well, but you have to wear some sort of stocking with those to steer clear of reprimands.

You can commute to work in as skimpy of a get up as you want, you just have to make yourself more presentable before hopping on the elevator to go upstairs- there are a couple of bathrooms downstairs that make that really simple! I frequently commuted in tank tops last year and then just put on my work shirt when I got to the building.
