I know, I am not a native speaker of English: I am Spanish. I hold a degree in English, though. A 4-year-degree does help teach English, taking into account the various subjects on pedagogy and English teaching I took. However, my nationality and passport make my degree utterly useless, even in Spain.
Everytime I send my cv to any recruiter or schools, nobody answers. They completely ignore me. I am thinking about visiting the schools myself. Unfortunately, I do not have any comprehensive list on English language schools in Chengdu. Could anybody reccomend me any? Do you of any schools willing to hire non-native speakers?
While travelling in China, I have heard so many stories about non-native speakers with worse English than mine and no degree getting vey jood jobs as English teachers. I just do not understand how they managed. Did they bribe somebody? Do they have powerful guanxi?
By the way, I also studied German (one year in Germany) and French (4 months in France). So, if you know of any jobs related to any of the mentioned languages, plese write me an e-mail: [email protected] |
