Does anyone know of any resources on the web that provides information on ESL curriculum development? Specifically, I am providing a large company with intemediate and advanced level ESL classes for their employees. As well, I am providing one-on-one ESL lessons for management. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Sound Curriculum Development requires a Needs Analysis up front. If it is a large project, a Scope of Work should specify Curriculum Development and its components, Needs Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, etc.

The Scope of work should outline the costs of the needs analysis and then specify the separate billables for development and delivery. This may be more formal than you think you need, but plan on spending about three hours developing curriculum for every hour of instruction.

Customer changes in requirements can have you working for free if you don't nail the details down early on.

Good luck with your project.
