|
|
I'm in Korea in a small, isolated town and the nearest crappy gym is a 40 minute walk away. After looking around for a while, I came across information on Kettlebells at dragondoor.com. For those who don't know, a Kettlebell looks like a bowling ball with handles and is solid iron.
They are expensive, but you can buy some adjustable ones like Kettlestacks or Iron Woody for a reasonable price. You supply the weights that you attach and do alot of different range of motion exercises like snatches, presses, etc... They are the official exercises of the Russian Spetznaz and have caught on in the USA and England.
In a nutshell, they are very effective, onnly take up a corner in space and you can do an incredible workout in 45 minutes or less. It's alot of work, but I've lost about 40 lbs since Christmas and am in the best shape I've been in years. Kettlebells rock! |

People who approach me while I am training often ask me what I am training for. My answer is "anything." By way of explanation, I say that my goal is to be able to handle any physical challenge that life throws at me. For that I need to be strong for my size, and have above-average endurance. With the help of a simple regimen featuring kettlebell exercises, bodyweight exercises, and intense middle-distance running, I have achieved my overall goal.
He's taking my FCE class tomorrow. |

That would be a neat trick, since I live in Alabama. Regardless of what you think of my command of the American language, I don't think I am a candidate for remedial training.

Ari,
An FCE class is an advanced class with little or no motivation and far too much arrogance. They could really benefit from your work ethic and fine grasp of the American language.
Kind regards,
