Could anyone tell me where to look for information on how the Spanish or French governments treat capital gains realized outside of those two countries for British expatriates?

For example, you live in Madrid or Paris. You sell a property in England and make a profit on it. How much of the capital gain do the Spanish or French governments take?

I wouldn't expect English teachers to have this specialized tax knowledge, but would appreciate leads on how to get this information. The UK accountant doesn't seem able to advise.

Thanks in advance!
