One thing i find difficut to deal with in Jakarta is inhumanity.
Many people seem to only care about themselves and feck the rest.
On the road its deathrace 2000, with people challenging each other to prove ...what?

but thats the street scene.

to epitomise it all, i was sitting at my desk at home, watching this nice kid pushing his (probale) grandfather in a wheel chair, as he does every evening, in the neighbourhood, the old guy has cerebal paulsey or something (spelling?) . anyway the streets here are not so busy, but on this occasion two cars came from each direction and were blocked by the old guy being pushed by his grandson. no big deal, right? just wait a few seconds and they are clear.

but no

the two motorists furiously persisted in honking their horns until the kid struggled and maneuvered the old guy out of their way.

thats life in jakarta

geez, what a wonderful world

Yep. Indonesians go to Jakarta to make money, and lose their humanity in the process. That's probably the main reason I had to get out of Indo after only a year.

Ah, yet another reason not to live in Jakarta. I wouldn't live there unless on a western salary.
