Hello again,

I've been in Kyushu for a about a week and a half. I'm calling out to any new arrivals or vets that don't mind putting up with a green newbie for a buds to hang out with from time to time. I came here alone and I'm hoping to fast track my way around the loneliness that will eventually sink in by making contacts on the internet. I figured the high volume of people passing through this website would make it a good prospect.

I've also placed an add in the personals, but it seems most of the responses I get are from middle aged Japanese women that I suspect are looking for a free English lesson.

If anyone is up for adding a new face to their circle or has some useful advice please share. I can be shy when it comes to meeting new people in bars so I would like to avoid that approach. For what its worth I'm easy to get along with and flexible.

Okay, if you want to meet a lot of foreigners here you might try a couple of the local hangouts on a Saturday night. THese include: Sam&Daves, The Dark Room, The Voodoo lounge, Arena, and many others. A friend of mine who is in a band is having a concert at the Blue note on the 27th. Tickets are a bit pricey (3000yen I think) but you will meet half the foriegn population of Fukuoka City there. PM me if you want to get in touch or just to talk about the ex-pat scene here.
