Two months in the south of Turkey growing vegetables and eating freshly caught fish.
And thanks to dmb for teaching me the trick.
Where is dmb these days? |

Soooo Jealous....
I'll have to settle for growing vegetables on the balcony and teaching the losers that couldn't pass. Quick trip to the US. Maybe I can sneak a few beach days in there...
That's a cool trick! I want to do that trick! Do you have to be techno-savvy? I haven't even worked out how to do an avatar.... |

justme, I thought you were at a university. Don't you get a nice long break?
The green thing is easy, really!
Just click on the "view more emoticons" on your left when your posting and hey presto.
Avatars are relatively easy too. Trust me, if I can do it you can. Do a search for instructions. I think yaramaz provides a good guide somewhere.
(PS In case it's not obvious, I don't have an avatar at present )

I am at a Uni, but it's the Prep Dept, so they have summer classes. I'm absolutely dreading it because it's the students who've studied English for 5-7 hours a day since September, but who still get 35% on exams... It's more like punishment... I want a job with real summer breaks. What's the point of having a Master's if I'm doing more drudge work now than when I was in Uni? The degree itself makes a nice fan on those hot summer days, but that's the only major benefit I've seen so far... But we get 3 weeks off. I'll go home for 2 or 3 weeks, maybe try to do something else...
There it is! I was gonna look there before but I was too lazy. Then I thought someone knew about some cool secret emoticon bank...
I tried the avatar thing once, put some URL in there for this nice blue guy, but nothing happened & haven't had time to try again... |

Summer in Istanbul with failing students. I don't envy you.
There is a bank of funny emoticons somewhere I think because I do see some very (ahem) funny ones on occasion. This one for example
,
but I don't know where they live. |

Yay! The Blue Guy!! That was so easy I feel like a complete loser for not working it out sooner. Thanks for showing the way ImanH...
The horse one is cool, but what emotion does it convey? I can't find a word for it, but I'm sure I've felt that way before... |
