Granted I'm not arriving untill September, but I'm really enjoying my relocation fantasies and it's tricky to research Taiwan from this side of the straight.
SO, what are my options in terms of cities outside of Taipei, particularly on the coast? Are there any cities outside of Taipei? Idealy I would like to be able to walk to the water, live alone, and still save up some money. I've also been there, done that when it comes to being one of two laowai in a town where it's impossible to procure dairy products, so I'm looking for something at little more cosmopolitan.
I should be slightly competitive in the job market, in that I have a year's experience teaching chinese speakers, but i never got a TEFL cert.
