I was told that you can not teach without at least a bachelors degree. Is there no way to get around this if you have a TEFL cert?
Thanks!! |

To work in a school as an English teacher in Greece , you need to obtain 2 licenses (from what I was told ) from the Ministry of Education . One to Teach English and the other to teach a foreign language - The critera they need is a BA in any disipline and a copy of your TESL Certification .
You can probably land a job teaching in small frontesterio - less reputable of course . |

Hi,
You don't need to obtain a licence in order to teach in a school (frontistirio). The employer will obtain a licence to hire you (adeia proslipsis allodapou). You only need to get your own licence if you want to teach independently or open your own school.
Officially, you do need a degree in order to teach in Greece, but as Venuss2 indicates, there are ways around it.
