Here's a little something about face..
What would you do?
____________________________________________________

Your Headmaster is sitting alone, quietly having dinner.. Suddenly a great idea occurs to him.. He calls his friends.. He calls the government officials.. And lets them know that the "waigorin" is joining him for dinner and would they like to bring their children so they can practice their English..

You are on your way to dinner with your friends or a students family.. They've taken an entire day off from work to prepare a special meal for you, the foreign teacher.. You get a phone call.. Its your headmaster..

"Hurry up, you must have dinner with me tonight!" He shouts..
You explain politely that your student's family has prepared a special meal for you and your friends..

Just before you are ready to walk out your office door.. your headmaster.. Red faced from the white wine.. bellows from just down the moldy carpeted hallway.. Entwining his arms about yours and smiling broadly.. He explain how happy he is that you get to meet his son and the important government officials he has invited to dinner.. This is truly a special occasion and you should be very honoured..

The headmaster begins to lay the guilt trip upon you.. You must come to dinner.. Otherwise he will lose his face! Its very important!!!!

What do you do????

Your choices are too limited. Tell your friends that you are going to be an hour late for dinner. Go with your boss and spend some time, then leave and go to your friends. Have him reimburse you for the cab fare.
