Yes. Try: "Japanese Recipes 60" ISBN4-262-12916-0 It costs 1500 yen. It contains 60 of the most popular/common recipes made in Japanese homes or Izakayas.... Plenty of color photos and a guide to Japanese ingredients for when you are shopping at the supermarket. As an added bonus, the book is completely bilingual -- so you can practice your Japanese too... Or lend the book to a Japanese-speaker if you get confused on some of the instructions or ingredients... (And you can write down the kanki for a particular ingredient when you are looking for it at the store)....
Ganbare!
P.S. I can't find this book on Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com BUT it IS on amazon.co.jp so you MAY not be able to buy it before you arrive...
It's a worthwhile book though, as the English portion is fairly well written and devoid of glaring ENGRISH..... |
