Hello TEFL peeps,

I got my Trinity Cert. TESOL last summer and I'm thinking of teaching somewhere in Sept/Oct this year. I'm British, hold a degree, and as yet have no teaching experience.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some guidance on which schools/countries are best for new teachers? I have a friend who teaches in Lisbon for the Cambridge School which he recommends highly, but he also recommends International House in Warsaw for newbies as it's where he started out.

I don't mind where I go but would like to stay in Europe, and have heard that Eastern Europe is a good starting place.

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

Lawrence

Eastern Europe is great, but there is no money there. You might want to consider Germany. I was there two years ago and it was great. The money was good too. I met lots of Irish and British teachers there. I wish I could go back, but as a Canadian, things are much more complicated now to work in Germany. For you with an EU passport, Europe's the limit as Im sure you know.
